Back to the tradition, The Grundfos National Dealer Conference 2017 (GNDC) for Pro Trade held at beginning of year, in March.

This Time, the event took place in a beautiful resort located in Bintan Island, it calls Bintang Lagoon Resort (BLR) approximately one hour driving from the airport. Following up a considerable distance, logistical preparation carried out two weeks in advance to make sure nothing is left behind. To ensure the event performing well, the advance team sent to survey the venue one month before the due date. This should be done with regard to the new meeting’s concept ever than before, where dealers certainly not going to sit around all day in the room, but will be divided into several groups, and each group took turns to be rotated to visit 7 booths of Grundfos segments and supporting departments.

Based on the survey results done by the advance team, the date of event decided from 08 to 10 March. Then, a series of intense preparation conducted to ensure the GNDC this time is not problematic. A small team formed immediately to perform many tasks, ranging from designing invitation, room booking, restaurant booking, to the production of uniforms and gifts. The coordination with the hotel also carried out on a regular basis, in ensuring the lay out of meeting and breaking room according to plan.

Imperceptibly, the day is getting closer, although the preparation is 100% ready, the committee still can not feel relieved. Two organizers leave first the day before, 07 March, to re-ensure everything is under control, especially to ensure outdoor activities can be run well. After having ascertained of all infrastructure matters is working properly, two organizers who go first continued to prepare the arrival of guests consisting of Dealer teams & Grundfos team.

The long awaited day came, since morning, coordination with organizers who went along with the group of guests conducted intensively to make sure nothing overlooked, with respect to distance. Bus pick-up has been set up at the airport to take them to resort. Meanwhile, the two organizers who go first set up a smooth checking process at the hotel. On the other hand, some dealers who live around Bintan Island have been coming since morning, they are from Riau, North Sumatra and Batam.

At 13:30, the groups arrived at the hotel;

At 13:30, the groups arrived at the hotel; President Director, Gert Borrits, Sales Director, Jens Ove Frederiksen, and the Director of APREG Building Services, Giancarlo Roggiolani, welcomed their arrival. Every guest is looking tired, but, because of the tight schedule, after completing the check-in, they were asked a quick break, since in 14.30, they had to regroup at hotel lobby to do outdoor activities.

At 14:45, all participants, both Grundfos team and Dealer teams gathered at the hotel lobby. Outdoor activities required participants to be divided into two big groups, where each group will be heading to different outdoor activities, and will take turns upon completion. When everything is ready, the first group immediately sent to archery field, followed by second group, heading down the coast to the ATV activity. Fatigue gradually disappear, as the sense of spirit arises to engage in activities that not been done before.

The first group arrived in archery course, guided by professional coach, they given an explanation on how to use the bow and arrow, in order to be able to shoot target accurately. After the briefing is completed, thereafter, every five people to come forward to do archery. Clearly visible the expression of joy on the faces of all participants, something that so far they have not done and it looks easy, in fact quite difficult to do so. However, after three attempts, usually shooter will be getting used for shooting the arrow, then they can enjoy the archery. To further encouraging, a championship for reaching the highest score carried out, where the prize will award on the second day dinner. Anyway, after everyone gets opportunity to shoot, it is time to swap the place with second group, and heading to the beach. But before that, together participants had a group photo.

Meanwhile, the second group arrived at the ATV area,

just like in archery, with regard to safety during riding ATV's, participants were given an explanation on how to use ATV, and the route to be taken during the trip. After the briefing is completed, thereafter, every ten people to come forward to ride on. They are divided onto 5 ATVs, then riding along the coast led by a guide. They look very happy, there is a distinct feeling, something that might be hard to do, if not together with Grundfos as it is today. Then, in turns, in every 20 minutes, after the entourage arrived back, the next group replace and go. After everyone get ATV riding, then the second group prepares to swap place, and heading to the spaciousness of archery.

Substitution place performed,

first group heading to the beach to do ATVs, while second group heading to archery. Arriving new place, each group re-briefed by the guides. In archery, the same championship also held for second group. Shooting scores of everyone is recorded, and aggregated with first group’s scores to determine the winner of highest score. Just like the first group, after doing archery, before returning to the beach for a coffee break,
the second group also performed a group photo.

Meanwhile, at the beach,

first group also received a briefing from, and then, in turn, each group completing the trip. Finishing ATV riding, together with second group who had arrived back at the beach, all participants reconvened for a coffee break and group photo.

After coffee breaks,

everyone is rushed back to their rooms to clean up for dinner. At 19:00, all participants gathered at the hotel lobby. Then, together by bus going to dinner venue that located 20 minutes from hotel. The name of restaurant is Kelong Restaurant. Arriving at the restaurant, everyone is headed to Calypso bar, located at the pier of restauran, to the welcoming ceremony while waiting dinner. In a relaxed atmosphere, everybody has opportunity for mingling with fellow dealers and Grundfos team. Finished in Calypso, then returned to restaurant to enjoy dinner. At 9:30, the group returned to hotel to have rest in
preparing tomorrow meeting.

09 March, it is time to attend annual meeting,

The Grundfos National Dealer Conference 2017 (GNDC). After having breakfast, all of participants went to the meeting room, located not far from hotel lobby and named by Great Hall. GNDC organizers had been ready since early morning for registration. There is a different feel to the uniforms of participants this time, yes, and it is true, the color dealer's uniform is not the same with Grundfos team; the dealer uses white color polo, while the Grundfos team blue polo. Apparently, there is an intention behind this distinction, and it relates to a new concept of this meeting. What is that? The new concept of the meeting will ensure dealers not to sit around all day, just listening presentation, they will be divided into several groups, where each group will take turns visiting the stand of segments and supporting departments, total 7 booths to visited until the end. Back to the event, at 08.30, the meeting opened and guided directly by the Sales Director, Jens Ove Frederiksen. As usual, the first session will be a speech from the President Director of PT. Grundfos Pompa, Gert Borrits. On this occasion, Gert Borrits deliver sales results in 2016 as well as the challenges and constraints encountered. Thereafter, also conveyed to the dealer; the expectations, forecasts, obstacles and challenges the will be faced in the 2017's. Finished the speech,before jumping into the next session, a prayer delivered to fellow dealer who passed away in 2016, he was Satria Wibawa from PT. Sari Amandamai Elektro, in Bandung. Sign the next event, Jens Ove introduces The Product Champion team; they are salespersons, who also served in charge of certain Grundfos product in Indonesia. While on this occasion, they served to guide their dealers who are members of several groups to visit each booth in breaking session.

Before entering the breaking session,

Jens Ove explained the rules; This session called Grundfos Tours, the place located right behind the meeting room that deliberately hidden for surprise. Stand to be visited amounted to seven booths, consists of the booth from; Industry, CBS, WU, Service, Customer Care, Operations, and Finance. There will be one person who is the manager of a segment or supporting departments serve as the guide, each of them will use polo with the same color with group's ribbon.At 10:30, after the coffee break, the Grundfos Tours 1 started, under the guidance of Product Champions, respectively, each group heading to each booth. For approximately 25 minutes, each group given opportunity to deliver any questions as well as discuss with the booth’s guide, then swap place to get to the next booth. This is what distinguishes GNDC 2017 different with the previous. Participants invited to interact not only receiving a presentation presented by presenters. Grundfos Tours 1 lasted until lunchtime.

After lunch, Grundfos Tour 2 resumed,

the concept is quite effective to eliminate sleepiness after lunch. The dealers pushed to continue to move around in turns in visiting booths. Moreover, in every booth, every dealer required to fill in a question, overall they have to fill 7 questions, and for those who achieves the highest score will receive the prize at a dinner party

Grundfos Tours finally finished at 15.30. Followed by a presentation regarding Customer Centric presented by Jens Ove, then closed with the announcement of outstanding dealership in 2016 and winner of SP Campaign 2016, they are;

Dinner, which is the last series in this 2017 GNDC,

Dinner, which is the last series in this 2017 GNDC, held at 19.00, located on the shore. In a relaxed atmosphere everyone has the opportunity to chat talking their experiences during these past few days. As already be informed, within this dinner there will be also awarding session for some competition;

The dinner closed with joy, after karaoke, participants returned to their rooms having rest after a tired days. event.

On the 10th March morning, all the participants together to the airport, to return to their homes to bring home the experience GNDC 2017, and implement them in facing the challenges of sales in 2017. Good luck.
